17 million people. On that tiny piece of earth ... (With lyrics)

What gives me a lump in my throat is when good citizens get up and take action.

A demonstration. Starting a lawsuit. How we as awake citizens are currently trying to get out of this madness. Or like, in this case, rewriting a beautiful song as a protest song that hits the nail on the head.

Nothing is more beautiful to see than united citizens standing up and fighting for their rights.

My greatest wish is to see the Dutch people see through what is happening and to revolt peacefully but determinedly in order to enforce their freedoms. And you can. If everyone wants. As long as everyone sees it.

Now this cabinet is breaking down our country completely. They do this on the backs of gullible Dutch people who have given them the confidence. They have it ashamed and they play with our feelings to achieve their goal. They frighten people and those who see through it are treated as terrorists. While we have the very best for the Netherlands. Not them!

They humiliate us. They oppress us. They take everything from us. Our dignity. Our pride. We have to stop them!

The original song 15 million people from Fluitsma & van Tijn many people will remember very well, especially now.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a rewritten version of this song in our mailbox from Grace Melody. Beautiful, sad and striking with a very clear message: Netherlands, please wake up!

LYRICS:

17 Million People

By: Grace Melody

The land of a thousand opinions

once there was sobriety

Fear has reigned for months

Still the majority

Where nothing is self-evident anymore

Being bothered together

Where grandma misses her grandchild now

Division in families

The land of laws and censorship

But one vision is sacred

You don't keep a muzzle healthy

Not every vaccine is safe

17 million people

On that tiny piece of earth

Don't prescribe the laws for you

You leave them in their worth

17 million people on that tiny piece of earth

You do not put them straightjacket

You leave them in their worth

The land of groups of protest

Violence by the police

We don't see that on nos

Don't trust television

The country that was fought for

For freedom in war

Now there is a new resistance

history repeats anyway

The country where so much had to close

Incredible for many

this is how SMEs are destroyed

not a pub to drown

17 million people

On that tiny piece of earth

Don't prescribe the laws for you

You leave them in their worth

17 million people on that tiny piece of earth

You do not put them straightjacket

You leave them in their worth

17 million people

On that tiny piece of earth

Don't prescribe the laws for you

You leave them in their worth

17 million people on that tiny piece of earth

You do not put them straightjacket

You leave them in their worth
