Last Wednesday, the police shot down a knife-pulling Afghan migrant who attacked them with a knife.
This happened around 16:30 PM when police officers were doing their rounds in Seine-Saint-Denis in Paris.
The Afghan migrant brandished a "long knife" at the police, according to Le Point. (source)
When he wanted to lash out at the officers, the police shot the Afghan several times.
One of the officers suffered a shoulder wound and had to go to the hospital for treatment. (source)
The investigation has yet to begin and no motive is yet known.
"We do not rule out anything, but so far there are no signs of a terrorist attack."

Last Saturday, a container was set on fire in Rillieux-la-Pape, near Lyon. This was a trap set by about 20 migrants.
Once the police and fire brigade arrived, they were attacked with projectiles, fireworks and other explosives. (source)
