Show of power during press conference

So dear readers,

It is the day after and it is time to discuss a few things again. Yesterday evening, the outgoing minister of VWS, together with Markje Rutte, had a stage again to perform their play. Complete with background dancers who depict the fairy tale by means of hand gestures, it must have been another evening full of entertainment. Personally, I don't like theater very much, so I didn't see the play yesterday. Today it is therefore not my goal to discuss the content of the Boy Scout scene with you, I will pass this round for a while. What I want to discuss with you is something that most likely has gone unnoticed by most people. Because when most of the people were busy with their own business or decided to marvel at Hugo's recitals, I followed a live stream from YouTube channel PNN Pieters Nieuws Net.

This channel is present at most demonstrations and I have been able to get a good impression of various events several times thanks to PNN. My thanks for this! Good to the point, so I followed the livestream on which a beautiful cacophony of noise could be heard. Quite a few heroes had turned up again to express their displeasure during a “noise protest”. People with drums, pans, hooters and all sorts of things together formed an impressive orchestra that was undoubtedly better to hear than the babbling that was spouted live within the walls by Markje and Hugo. As the Hour of Truth or rather the Hour of Lies progressed, the orchestra outside quietly continued their protest. I have followed the stream from almost the beginning and have hardly seen any disturbances. Later in the evening the atmosphere seemed to get a bit foreboding.

An immense police and riot police force had been mobilized throughout The Hague, complete with dogs, horses, water cannon and the whole ratte mikmak. It seemed as if The Hague had displayed the complete arsenal and with all this display of power one would at least expect a horde of savage who could have justified this display of power. However, as has now become obvious, this was not the case. We are talking about a very diverse group of people from all walks of life, including many middle-aged people. In no case did one get the impression that this group was up to no good and were not even remotely to be confused with savage hooligans. Of course there are always a few people in a crowd who cross the boundaries a bit and thus show some obnoxious behavior, but again these exceptions are definitely and certainly not representative of the majority with the group of demonstrators who were present yesterday.

Taking the above data into account one could therefore conclude that the fully equipped maintenance arsenal was exaggerated firstly and secondly could contribute a negative effect to the atmosphere. The intimidation of so much ME will, in my view, lead to escalation rather than contribute to a peaceful course of the evening. In addition, I also found the behavior of enforcement to be strange to say the least. Now I have no understanding of how such operations work and which strategies are used. Although my simple mind started to seriously question the way the riot police and police completely closed in on the group of demonstrators at some point. After the group seemed to be enclosed, nothing followed for a very long time, after which the reporter from PNN also decided to move through the city, which provided a further picture of the strange situation for me. For example, I think I saw a number of rioters get into a police bus and I thought I recognized them as that small group who showed some obnoxious behaviour. The way in which these people disappeared from the scene in a police bus made my gut suspect that these were perhaps Romeos? I cannot say this with certainty, but the appearance of all this was great and it smelled of danger. At the bottom of this article I will make a reference to the incident that you can then view and perhaps judge for yourself. However it may be, if my suspicion is correct and this indeed turns out to be a Romeo incident, then there are at least these beautiful images that may map it out. Moments later, the PNN reporter returned to the place where the demonstration took place. Or rather had taken place because a very large part of the demonstrators had already left. However, a modest group remained behind who held a seated protest in peace without expressing the slightest form of aggression. Let me make it perfectly clear that this small group of brave demonstrators deserve my utmost respect because I can no longer describe what happened then.

The tactics of the enforcement seemed to have directed the protesters in groups to move around. I suspect this because I saw the strange movement of the group in the stream and multiple chat messages appeared in that same stream testifying that the whole city was full of ME. These messages were posted by people who claimed to be present and for the record I'm going to assume that what they said is correct. Added together, this created this bizarre situation, after which only a handful of demonstrators remained. Meanwhile, the line had drawn closer to the protesters and the water cannon was deployed. I stared in disbelief at what was happening before my eyes and completely stunned I asked the person who watched the stream with me yesterday if they also saw what I saw. The answer was of course in the affirmative and together concluded that the whole turn of events was disproportionate and so incredibly bizarre that we could not imagine that from your and my tax dollars all this was happening. We simply couldn't believe that this water cannon would actually be deployed but was there purely for show. As an intimidation, so to speak, because once again there was no credible reason to proceed to use the cannon. Of course, we were simply right in concluding that further displays of power would be utterly misguided, and all the greater was our outrage when the unthinkable happened! The group of seated protesters who did nothing but sit were indeed attacked by the water cannon! When the cannon started firing there was a pause and it was only when I saw a number of heroic demonstrators standing as a kind of shield in front of the seated group that I fell into a frenzy. While the protective heroes held out, I shrieked the entire neighborhood in sheer anger and disbelief. For the record, I will just repeat my actual use of language as it cannot be repeated, but take it from me that the tirade that blazed out of me yesterday was not pretty. Not pretty, but quite rightly so, because I have never felt so much disgust for the enforcers before and they had fallen seriously in my estimation lately.

Last night there was, in my view, a whole new level of nausea caused by disproportionate misconduct by the enforcement authorities who are paid out of your and my pocket! After all, it is the bloody limit that such fundamental rights-violating behavior can be exhibited from the government at all. Which I don't want to pay a cent for, but I am forced to pay for it. What annoys me the most is that this happens shamelessly and that most people don't even know about it! Of course there is a group of indifferent who will be worried that human rights are being undermined so seriously, just think in the context of the right to demonstrate and the rule that demonstrators who show no aggression should never, ever be treated in such a brutal way! Apart from the brains behind this criminal policy, I still believe that the majority of the population, including people who still believe in fairy tales and put their trust in the cabinet and RIVM, do see the injustice of this situation. I sincerely trust that most of the people would have at the very least asked serious questions seeing the way government and enforcement acted last night. They would have expressed their displeasure if they would have noticed that these brave heroes had to sit in the cold for a long time, complete with wet clothes and all! The question would soon arise as to how the government that pretends to be health-conscious can permit such behavior that clearly exposes people to health risks from cold and moisture. Mass indignation would arise when one realizes the dire situation of the demonstrators who are then removed in a degrading way in their wet and cold clothing in police vans. Anger would have arisen in any sane, virtuous person, if only they knew.

And then we immediately have to deal with the biggest problem of today. The problem we all know, namely the media. The terrible established media that I never see at a serious demonstration but then sell nonsense in their reporting. That bunch of journalists who have never asked a single critical question to policymakers and thus disregard their own professional code. The so-called reporters who have to inform the public in a fair way and thereby paint as objective a picture as possible. Where were they? Where is Amnesty International to question? Where are all the human rights organizations that always have the biggest say about their extremely important function in society, namely to control power and to protect the people against abuse of power. Where were they all? I haven't seen them! I have not heard them and in all likelihood I will never hear anything factual and truthful from them beyond the lying nonsense they normally produce. Because the reporting is not good and the human rights organizations are not doing their job either, we are at the mercy of the savages and the majority of the population will remain ignorant and mistaken. It is a major scandal that, unfortunately, for quite some time these kinds of abuses have no longer been isolated, but have almost become the order of the day. Words are not enough to express my displeasure, but I have tried as best as I can to explain how I feel about it. It is sad and I am sad. Sad because the media has failed again and acted in exactly the way I predicted to my party last night that would happen.

In conclusion, there are only a few things left for me to say. Firstly, I would like to express my sincere thanks to the reporters who were on the scene and who gave us the opportunity to bring these kinds of abuses to light. And secondly, my deep respect and thanks for all the brave people who were present again yesterday to defend our freedom. In particular the heroes who remained as shields around the group, you are Dutch hope and glory and I thank you from the bottom of my soul. And finally, I would like to end this speech with the words I also spoke to my company yesterday. Now you have seen the images. Now you know for sure what happened and that whatever is going to be said in the news, you can confirm or refute it. You know the facts and you have seen the actual events happen live before your very eyes. Spread the word!
