Last week a Muslim attacked random people with a knife on the London Bridge. Two people were killed, including Jack Meritt.
Criminologist Jack Meritt fought against the over-representation of ethnic minorities in prisons and even wrote a thesis about this.
In that thesis he argued that more non-Western prisoners should be released. The big irony is that his murderer was the non-Western man who had just come out of prison.
Jack's father wrote on Twitter after his son's murder:
“My son, Jack, doesn't want his death used to be unnecessarily harsh on people. RIP Jack, you were a beautiful soul who always stood up for the weaker in society ”
