Four boats with a total of 72 migrants on board were brought to Dover last Sunday.
This happened after the Border Guard intercepted the boats and the English Channel.
The first two boats were intercepted at half past six in the morning and there were 22 men and 8 women. They claim to be from Iraq, Iran and Syria. (source)
Three hours later, the 3rd boat came into view with 13 men claiming to be from Iraq and Iran. (source)
Shortly thereafter, the fourth boat with 25 men and 4 women. They all presented themselves as Iraqis and Iranians.
They were all taken to Dover where their medical condition was tested.
Tony Eastaugh, a migration expert for the Home Office, said anyone entering the UK illegally will be deported to their country of origin.
As the weather warms up, more migrants are again trying to cross the Channel to reach British territory. (source)
